I am a passionate leader in Computer Science with a focus on the production of excellent quality work through the fostering of an amazing team. I facilitate environments in which people can grow themselves as individuals and shine with their own unique strengths on a project. I anticipate the challenges from technical problems and work with my team to ensure our solutions scale over time.

I often find myself involved with many different opportunities concurently, which for many seems to be overwhelming, but it personally gives me life! I enjoy a wide variety of passions that allow me to grow in many areas as an individual. I also express honesty and transparency when it comes to profesional endeavors because I believe a leader is someone to be trusted and someone to look up to. I wouldn't ask someone to do something I myself am not prepared to undertake.

Leadership and Impact

College Student Organizations

SIU Esports - President
When I joined the SIU Esports club I originally was the secretary because the talks of Club Rhythm merging with the existing Esports club because of Club Rhythms proven track record of attendance and events across campus. I quickly started reorganizing SIU Esports with the structures I had put in place for Club Rhythm. Eventually I was made the club president and that led me to work with the university to create a permanent space for the club in the Student Center. My biggest accomplishment while being the president of SIU Esports was starting a yearly local tournament for anyone to participate in called "Super Smash Revolution" which was a single day event focused on 4 key games within the Esports club. The very first event that I organized and managed from start to finish had over 300 attendees from neighboring states such as Kentucky and Tennessee.
August 2017 - May 2020
Ping Pong Club - Founder & President
As a Graduate Research Assistant for the College of Liberal Arts I was asked to perform a wide variety of tasks from the dean of the college. One of which was to organize a Ping Pong tournament amongst faculty and students for the College of Liberal Arts because the dean loves the sport. This tournament eventually evolved into a Registered Student Organization for the club. There was a previous Ping Pong club that died out because they only focused on the competitive nature behind the sport and disallowed casual play in their space. Our club focused on both and encouraged everyone to be as inclusive as possible. I left the club with several tables and club equipment as well as over 20 regular members.
September 2019 - January 2020
SIU Aikido - President
I have practiced martial arts for most of my life and found the aikido club as a unique art I hadn't tried yet. Eventually it led to me being the president where I organized fundrasing events to allow the club to travel to St. Pete Beach, Florida for the "Winter Intensive 2019" event hosted by Aikido Schools of Ueshiba and everyone in the club could learn from the top black belts from all around the country. This trip was an amazing experience that wouldn't have been possible without fundrasing.
August 2018 - August 2019
Club Rhythm - Founder & President
I am a passionate Dance Dance Revolution (DDR) player and I wanted to share that passion with as many friends as I could. This passion drove me to purchase metal DDR pads and create a Registered Student Organization (RSO) to meet in the student recreation center. This RSO was called Club Rhythm which was a rhythm game focused club where friends could gather and play their favorite rhythm games. The RSO grew to support many different games as I eventually had regular members that would show up and bring their chosen rhythm game to which I organized fundrasing to acquire more equipment for the game if more folks grew intrest.
